Event Description:
March 10th is National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. In honor of this day Hodac, Inc., a health services organization of Warner Robins, GA has partnered with TEARS2C (Teaching Everyone About the Risks Community Coalition) of Fort Valley State University to host a spoken word event that will be centered on HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, and violence prevention. The spoken word performance event will be preceded by a workshop, both of which will be open to the public. The facilitators of both the workshop and spoken word event are award-winning poets Red Storm and Abyss and Georgia Me. The workshop is March 25th at 4PM with spoken word performances beginning at 7PM. The event will be held at the Student Clubhouse at 1005 State University Dr. Fort Valley, GA 31030. Attendees will receive free giveaways and free food. This event is open to the community. The event will feature mature content, with strong drug references and sexual innuendos.
