Centervilleis holding its first Center Market on October 8th from 4:00until 7:00 p.m.at the new NatureCenterand ButterflyGardenbeside CentervilleCity Hall.The major event is a photography contest organized by the Fine Arts Alliance of Middle Georgia.Photos must be taken in HoustonCountyand will be displayed in the community center on the evening of the market.Cash prizes will be awarded.Some of the photos will be making a tour of Middle Georgia after the competition as well as published in a local magazine. Eddie Stone will be providing music at the pavilion.We will have a variety of vendors including antiques, pottery, vegetables, boiled peanuts, pampered chefs, breads and desserts, snow cones, jewelry, candles, and art.We will also have an old fashioned Cake Walk and a raffle for a basket of UGA items including a one of a kind Georgiaball cap.There will be face painting and activities for the kids.Larry Coy will be selling Slaw Dogs and Chili Dogs.Anyone wishing to participate as a vendor can contact Jeanne Bauer at 407/538-7935.
