Save the Date for the 5th Annual Cantrell Center 5K & Fun Run: Saturday, Feb. 23rd, 2013 Last year over 1,900 participants took to the streets in the 4th Annual Cantrell Center 5K & Fun Run. Over 50% of the runners/walkers were first timers. This is an awesome statistic because it is these people who we are targeting with the ''Get Moving Middle Georgia'' Challenge. First time participants who never thought they could complete a 5K, proved to themselves that they can and are taking strides to improve their health. Here at the Cantrell Center, we have a passion for working with and helping people who are fighting obesity. That is why we have decided to ''Combat Obesity.'' Obesity has increased from 10% in 1990 to 29% in 2009, just in the state of Georgia and we want to reverse that trend, not only in the state of Georgia, but across the country as obesity has become a national epidemic. are you in?
