Mark your calendar, registration is underway the largest fundraiser of the year for the Joanna McAfee Childhood Cancer Foundation, the 3rd annual Macy Easom Memorial Charity Golf Tournament sponsored by Middle Georgia Orthopedic Surgery & Sports Medicine. All proceeds fund the mission of the Joanna McAfee Childhood Cancer Foundation. Advanced registration only - just download the application at www.SupportCancerKids.org using the link above and return prior to the April 18th tournament. For sponsorships, application and high resolution logo must be returned prior to April 1st to ensure the signs can be produced in time for the tournament. The tournament we've created is very different than most - it was created to meet three important goals: 1) To conduct a first-class event that adequately honors the children who are battling pediatric cancer and respectfully memorializes the children who are no longer with us. 2) To ensure that the teams and the sponsors know how much we genuinely appreciate their participation. 3) To make sure that everyone attending has a great day while becoming aware of the number of Middle Georgia children battling pediatric cancer and gaining an appreciation for how much they need our help. Based on feedback, we believe we're meeting our goals! Thank you Middle Georgia! The economy will present a significant challenge for our foundation in 2009. We realize that participation in events such as this is becoming more and more difficult. The need to help children with cancer is increasing as we identify more children in Middle Georgia that need our help and as budgets for childhood cancer research are further reduced.
